Helsinkis neu gebaute Zentralbibliothek Oodi ist ein lebendiger Treffpunkt. Die Bibliothek bietet natürlich Raum zum Lesen, aber nicht nur. Neben Platz für Bücher gibt es im Gebäude Einrichtungen wie ein Kino, Aufnahmestudios, einen Produktionsraum, Räume für Ausstellungen und Gemeinschaftsveranstaltungen sowie ein Café und Restaurant. Oodi wurde unter Verwendung lokaler Materialien und unter Berücksichtigung lokaler Klimabedingungen gebaut. Das einzigartige Gebäude wurde von ALA Architekten entworfen.
Helsinki’s newly built Oodi Central Library is a lively meeting place. The library offers space for reading, of course, but not only. In addition to space for books, the building has facilities such as a cinema, recording studios, a production room, rooms for exhibitions and community events as well as a café and restaurant. Oodi was built using local materials and taking into account local climatic conditions. The unique building was designed by ALA Architects.

Die unterirdischen Ausstellungsräume von Amos Rex Kunstmuseum schaffen eine verspielte Landschaft inmitten von Helsinki. Die surrealistischen Bullaugen, die aus dem Boden wachsen ziehen Menschen an und ermöglichen einzigartige Erlebnisse. Die JKMM Architekten haben mit diesem Bau den Platz, der früher ein Busbahnhof war, enorm aufgewertet. Die seit jeher am Platz ansässigen Cafés, Kinos und Geschäfte profitieren natürlich ebenfalls von der neuen spektakulären Architektur.
The underground exhibition spaces of Amos Rex Art Museum create a playful landscape in the middle of Helsinki. The surrealistic curving domes, that grow out of the ground attract people and provide unique experiences. The JKMM architects have used this building to enhance the square, which used to be a bus station. The cafés, cinemas and shops that have always been located on the square also benefit from the new spectacular architecture.

Am Eingang begrüsst eindrucksvoll eine Skulptur des international renommierten Künstlers Ai Weiwei. Im Wintergarten, wo man gemütlich speisen kann, ist man von weiteren Kunstwerken und Design umgeben.
